Hi Everyone, we have been very busy knitters with Holiday planning and projects.
November started out with our denim Prism jacket and it was a hit. Everyone involved was so excited with the opportunity to knit their own individual creations. You picked the yarn and the results were just spectacular. I am over joyed and excited that everyone in our Knitting Circles Around Socks class has completed the first set of socks and well on their way with their next set. Hooray!
Last Wednesday, we had our Sock Testing Open House with Cia, our representative from Addi TURBO Skacel Yarn Company. I hope that you were able to attend, but if your did not make the show we have all of the new sock yarns in stock and available for you. It was a great show, thanks Cia.
Thanks to everyone that participated in our Beanies and Scarves to Soldiers project. We have sent over 15 boxes to our soldiers. A special thanks to Nancy Leviton for all of her assistance and for handling the shipping of the boxes, Thank You Nancy.
We are anxiously awaiting the New Year and our new classes. We have lots of great stuff coming your way for 2008.
December is such a busy time for family and the celebration of the Holidays, we would like to wish everyone a Happy Holiday and a Blessed New Year.
See you at the Knit Affair,

Prism Denim Jacket
We are very excited about this project for the Holiday Season. We have taken denim jackets and removed the sleeves. Then we created our own beautiful hand knitted sleeves out of some of the most exciting yarns that Prism Yarn Company has to offer. We used Prism Light stuff, Cool Stuff and Wild Stuff to create these one of a kind denim jackets. As you can see in the pictures below, we have two examples of the sleeves.
The first jacket is accented with exciting pinks in the sleeves and the second jacket has cool camouflage sleeves.

This class is being offered Thursday, November 1st and 11th, from 6-8PM.
This one of a kind jacket will really make a statement about you this Holiday Season.
Do not miss this one!

September 2007 Class Projects
Hi Everyone,
We have attached pictures that will give you a birds eye view of our class projects for September. Double click on the pictures and you can enlarge them for a better look.
This is our Lace Accessory Bag from "handknit HOLIDAYS". I used Trendsetter's Pakucho 100% Organic Natural Cotton for the pouch and found a cute floral print fabric for the liner and completed the bag with a pink rhine stone zipper to add the finishing touches. This is a great project and lot's of fun to knit. This could just be the perfect gift for the upcoming Season.
In class on Wednesday evening, I started a Lace Carpet Bag using Rowan's Yorkshire tweed dk. I love the way that this bag and yarn is coming together. I am going to work five rows of the lace scallop pattern and finish the bag off with this paisley liner and find some cute leather handles to complete the look. Watch for the finished project, so far everyone is talking about this bag.
This is the Reversed Cabled Scarf. The great thing about this project is that your cable looks the same on both sides. The yarn that I used was Marl La by Classic Elite Yarns which is a bulky weight yarn on my size 17 needles. But the nice thing about this project is the flexibility. You can choose any yarn weight that you prefer and your cabled scarf will look great.
I think that you can see that we are going to have a very exciting September at the Knit Affair. These are just some of the examples that I have done. There are always many variations that we come up with during our classes. Come an join in the projects and the fun.
See you at the Knit Affair,
Torey
