Today is the last day of June and 4th of July is just around the corner. Good things happen in July. Our Anniversary (Gil & I), my birthday, 4th of July with the Family, BBQ's, swimming, Hot weather and lots of fun.

Thanks for supporting Meagan and I on the Relay for Life Cancer Walk last Saturday on June 23rd. We walked over 2 hours and we lit a candle (Luminary bag) for Nanny. Thanks Gretchen for your kind comments. I know how near this charity is to your heart and I will make sure that you are made aware of future Cancer charitable events.As a reminder we will be closed July 3rd and 4th to be with our families and friends to celebrate our Freedom.

American Cancer Society. Relay for Life

Hi Everyone,
This Saturday at Santiago High School here in Corona, the American Cancer Society is sponsoring Relay for Life. This is an overnight event designed to bring together those who have been touched by cancer in our community. I will be Walking for the Cause in the memory of my mother with my daughter Meagan. I am looking for sponsors for the walk. I will be walking from 8pm-9pm this Saturday night. This relay gives you the power to help in the fight against cancer. You can drop your donations off at the Knit Affair before Saturday afternoon. As of this writing they have over $82,000. in pledges. Let's help.

Anniversary Week is Over...

Hi Everyone,

Anniversary Week was a great success. Many of you came in and took advantage of our HUGE SELL and made some great deals. Thanks to everyone that participated. Everyone had lot's of fun, I know that I did.

We just returned from our Granddaughter's 6th grade graduation. She was on the Honor Roll all six years and received the Presidents Awards for Excellence. Nana and Papa were just glowing. Wow, she is growing up so fast and we have another granddaughter coming up right behind her. Surprising to know that they are both Knitters. Graduations are here. We have several of our very dear friends graduating this week. Congratulations to all of the graduates and good luck with tomorrow.

The Fair Isle project is in main stream and everyone is doing a great job and having lots of fun. Gil wanted you to see the Fair Isle bag under construction.

Fisrt Week of June...

Hi Everyone,

June is here and Summer is just around the corner. Well, if you missed the Mystery Knit Affair last Saturday night, you missed a good one. Everyone had a ball, including me. I had so much fun and as usual all of our friends stayed right up to mid-night. The Yoga socks were a BIG HIT. I know that some of you could not come because the space was so limited, but you will just have to register early for the next one.

This week we have the Afghan Block Club, Tuesday at 6pm and Fair Isle Knitting, Wednesday 6pm. Hope you're signed up for these. They are all the "buzz".

Also, this week the outside of the Knit Affair is getting a nice coat of paint that it needed badly. All of us can use a little touch up once in awhile, right?

Next week will be CRAZY... Our 4th Anniversary sale. We will have Special in store events, Prizes, drawings and Special discounts all week long. Miss this event and you might as well just hang up the needles.
